Product description
The JUVEDERM® range of dermal fillers are designed to temporarily restore volume loss, smooth fine lines, and fill folds. The key product ingredient is hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance our body naturally produces to help maintain volume in the skin. As we age the amount of HA we produce begins to decline, leading to the formation of facial lines and wrinkles. The JUVEDERM® range replenishes lost HA levels resulting in smoother and plumper looking skin. Many of the products in the JUVEDERM® range contain a mild local anaesthetic (lidocaine) reducing discomfort associated with the injection experience
The following is a list of the Juvederm® product range:
To achieve the desired effect the above products can safely be combined.
The effects of Juvederm products are long-lasting but non- permanent. A variety of factors can influence how long results will last for each client i.e. skin type, age, life style and level of physical activity. Typically, clients require follow-up treatment between six and twelve months for wrinkles and facial contouring and between three and six months for lip augmentation. Once totally absorbed the products are naturally eliminated from the body.
After treatment it is normal to experience mild redness, tenderness and swelling in the treatment area. However, these side effects are only temporary and typically resolve within a few days following treatment. Swelling following lip augmentation can last up to a week and it is not unusual for lips to appear uneven during this time. Once the swelling has subsided the full aesthetic result of treatment will then be evident.
All clients are offered a follow up appointment two weeks following treatment where touch ups can be administered if necessary.
